Greensboro, NC -- Anua just received notification from the Wisconsin Safety and Buildings Division — Plumbing Product Review that its Puraflo peat fiber biofilter open bottom modules have been approved for use in conjunction with the in-ground and mounded pad effluent dispersal configurations.
According to Colin Bishop, REHS, RS, director of sales and government relations for Anua, “this approval is huge for Puraflo given Wisconsin’s recognized leadership in mound research and application for the safe dispersal of effluent. This approval is a testament to the science and engineering basis for clean water dispersal that Anua has pioneered for over 15 years.”
Puraflo uses peat fiber with high lignin content for longer media life. The peat fiber biofilter is the most versatile, green-friendly, low energy natural solution where simple, reliable operation and maintenance are required.
The system is designed to handle 150 gallons per day and produces an effluent with:
• B.O.D <10 mg/l
• T.S.S. < 10 mg/l
• NH3-N <5 mg/l
• Fecal coliform <1,000 to <10,000 per 100 ml
